A better brief makes a better furniture enquiry

What to share before requesting a furniture quotation.

Start with the use

A retail collection, a hotel lounge and a busy café ask different things of furniture. Tell your supplier who will use the product, how often it will be used and the setting it needs to suit. Share a reference image or drawing when you have one.

Make the specification clear

Include dimensions in centimetres, material preferences, finish colour, upholstery requirements and the quantity for each item. Identify details that are essential and those that can be discussed. A clear specification makes quotations easier to compare.

Discuss samples and checks

Agree on the sample process and the details to check before production. For upholstered furniture, discuss fabric or leather selection and cushion construction. For wooden pieces, discuss grain variation and the finish sample.

Plan the delivery conversation

Share your destination and preferred delivery window. Ask for packaging dimensions, weights and the basis of the shipping quotation. Confirm production and delivery commitments in writing after the specification is agreed.

Send your brief to Ratna Exports

We welcome enquiries from importers, retailers, designers and project teams. Send the product references, quantities and destination to krishna@ratna-exports.com to start a conversation.
