A furniture brief for commercial and turnkey projects
Five decisions to settle before comparing quotations.
Begin with rooms and quantities
Split the project into zones: dining, lounge, reception and storage. List the required furniture and quantities for each zone, alongside drawings or reference photographs. Keep the approved design revision on the same list.
Define the use before choosing the finish
A restaurant table and a reception console serve different purposes. Share expected daily use, cleaning routines and indoor or outdoor placement. Discuss material and finish options against this brief. Appearance alone does not establish commercial suitability.
Agree the sample and inspection points
Identify the dimensions, joinery, upholstery, finish colour and visible details to approve. Discuss a sample or finish reference before production. Specify any project testing requirements and request supporting documentation rather than assuming certification.
Plan delivery and installation together
Share the destination, site access, target installation window and phased-delivery needs. Ask how the selected furniture will be packed and whether assembly is required. Confirm freight, assembly and installation responsibilities in writing.
Keep the enquiry focused
Send your product shortlist, city or export destination, quantities, finish preference and project timeline. Ratna Exports welcomes furniture enquiries from commercial and turnkey project teams, importers and retailers.
